How We Serve
We help Ohio’s Mahoning County veterans and their families access the benefits they’ve earned — from disability and pension claims to education, home loans, and temporary financial aid. We also provide transportation to VA medical centers, support local patriotic events, and assist veterans in nursing homes with VA benefits.

Services Available to Veterans

VA Claims Assistance – Help applying for disability, pension, survivors benefits, DD-214s, and burial benefits.

Emergency Financial Assistance – Temporary aid for eligible veterans and families in need.

Transportation – Daily rides to VA medical centers in Cleveland and Parma (by appointment).

Utility Assistance – Seasonal help for qualified households meeting income and asset guidelines.

Burial & Memorial Support – Grave markers, flag holders, flags, and Memorial Day ceremonies.

Nursing Home Outreach – Assistance for veterans or spouses in long-term care facilities.

Military Injury Relief Fund (MIRF) – Compensation for injured veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan service.

War Orphans Scholarships – Tuition help for children of deceased or severely disabled Ohio veterans.
