How can I obtain a copy of my DD-214 (military discharge papers)?

Veterans can request their DD-214 through several sources:

  • Submit a Standard Form 180 (SF-180)

  • Contact the VA Clinic if you are registered

  • Check with the County Recorder’s Office in the county where you returned after service

  • Contact the Veterans Services Commission if you have previously worked with the office
